Terms of Use

These terms form the agreement between you and Erythras International University for the use of our website and online services. By accessing or using any EIU service, you accept these terms.

1. Accounts & eligibility

Student accounts are created exclusively through approved admissions — there is no public self-registration. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential; temporary passwords expire after 72 hours and must be changed at first login. Sharing accounts, impersonating others or attempting to access another user's data is prohibited and may result in suspension.

2. Academic integrity

All work you submit must be your own. Examinations are timed with server-authoritative clocks; integrity signals (tab focus loss, multi-device access) are logged and reviewed. Plagiarism, collusion or tampering with assessment systems leads to grade cancellation and disciplinary process, and may result in certificate revocation — revoked awards are flagged instantly on the public verification registry.

3. Acceptable use

You may not scrape, data-mine or overload our services; upload malicious files or unlawful content; or misrepresent EIU credentials. Verification lookups are rate-limited to protect graduates from enumeration.

4. Payments

Fees are published per programme. Card payments are processed by Stripe (card data never touches EIU servers); bank transfers are verified by the finance team with proof of payment. Refunds follow the fee policy published in the Student Handbook.

5. Liability & changes

Services are provided on a best-effort basis with scheduled maintenance windows. EIU may update these terms; significant changes are announced in the portal. Governing law is that of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, with dispute resolution first through the EIU grievance desk.
